Virginia MacKoul, Director of Marketing

Virginia “Ginny” graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment, minoring in Urban Regional Planning. She joined the Front Street team in 2011 and now serves as the Director of Marketing, overseeing all marketing and branding activity.

Ginny shares Front Street's passion of giving back to the community and those in need. She has served on the Children's Miracle Network Leadership Council since 2017; the silent auction planning committee for Tyler's Hope for a Dystonia Cure for 2015-2017; the Festival of Trees planning committee for 2016-2018; and the 2017 American Heart Association Executive Leadership Team. She also sits on the Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association Board as President-Elect, set to take over as Board President in June of 2019. Ginny is a graduate of Leadership Gainesville Class 41 (go blue!) and volunteers her time to other fantastic organizations such as United Way of North Central Florida and the Child Advocacy Center.

In 2016, Ginny co-founded a professional development group called Talking Heads GNV. Their mission is to create a thriving local network of forward-thinking professionals who join together in pursuit of growth, learning and development. Ginny was also named a winner of the 2018 Gainesville Sun’s 40 Under 40 Award, as well as a winner of the 2016 Fierce Award which recognizes “entrepreneurs, game-changers, business up-and-comers and powerful business forces within the Greater Gainesville community.”

Ginny was born in Boston and moved to Lee County, Florida in 1997. She started college at UF in 2005 with a focus on Architecture; she immediately fell in love with Gainesville and has been here ever since. Ginny's hobbies include photography, cooking, football, crafting and creating, enjoying the beach, boating, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Paige.
