Florida has always been a popular tourist destination thanks to its sandy beaches, desirable climate and theme parks, but it has become an even more popular destination in recent years.
According to Florida TaxWatch, the Sunshine State could potentially hit the 100 million visitor mark in 2015. The state added more than 2.8 million tourists last year, and approximately 76,000 tourism related jobs were created in 2013. The average salary of each job was more than $43,000. Florida is well on its way to proving that a tourism-based economy is not something to be laughed at.
