Moving on Up in Downtown Ocala
/The real estate landscape of downtown Ocala is making an interesting shift. Traditionally, it has been common practice to use the upper floor of downtown buildings for commercial purposes and professional offices, but an influx of young professionals has changed this dynamic.
The city is seeing more and more mixed-use within the buildings. Landlords might lease the upper floor as apartments and lease the bottom floor for commercial purposes or vice versa. Some business owners actually live on the top floor and use the bottom for their business. This idea is becoming more popular as tenants want to be able to work and “play” in the same area. They want to be able to run their business, shop and eat all within the same local sphere.
