Google wants to be everywhere: In your home, your car and even on your wrist. Google disclosed plans to expand Android, its mobile operating system, for wearable computers and automobiles at the I/O Developer Conference.
Google said the latest version of Android for smartphones and tablets called Android L would include some new features like smarter authentication and anti-theft software. Google detailed plans to push Android into areas beyond mobile devices, such as Android Wear, auto devices and Android TV. The company revealed a recent project to improve battery life for Android devices with a tool called Project Volta.
