Gainesville Gone Austin Benefiting the Child Advocacy Center

The annual Child Advocacy Center Signature Fundraiser, Gainesville Gone Austin, is back for its sixth year! The event will be held at the Hitchcock Farm at Santa Fe River Ranch on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale Sept. 1.

Gainesville Gone Austin supports the Child Advocacy Center and the needs of child abuse victims in Gainesville and Alachua County. The event includes a live and silent auction. Santa Fe River Ranch in Alachua offers sprawling fields, beautiful stables and the perfect party barn! Guests are invited to wear their best casual country western attire. Boots and blue jeans are welcome! Sponsorship opportunities are still available for anyone interested in being a part of Gainesville Gone Austin 2014!

The CAC stands up for abused and neglected children. The staff stays with the child victims as they tell their story of abuse, provides counseling sessions and prepares families and protects victims for a court system that can be quite frightening and overwhelming. The Center works with outside agencies to coordinate long term care to ensure child victims get the resources they need every single step of the way. Visit the CAC website at www.childadvocacycentergainesville.org/ to learn how you can help.
