Front Street was pleased to represent Dave’s New York Deli in securing their second location in the Gainesville area. The new restaurant is planning on opening its doors in August and will be located on the corner of Archer Road and Tower Road in the Park Lane Apartment Complex.

The Dave’s Deli menu features deli sandwiches, hoagies, subs, burgers and hot dogs as well as breakfast bagels and platters. Dave’s Deli stays true to the owner’s northeastern roots, with authentic food and a comfortable atmosphere.

Dave’s Deli is known for its authentic cheesesteaks and specials like the “Baxter.” This sandwich is made with beef bulgogi, sesame ginger slaw, Korean BBQ sauce and toasted ciabatta, and is only available during certain times of the year. The restaurant also holds specials and Friday night happy hours. Dave’s Deli was awarded best sandwich for the past three years by Gainesville food critic Ken Eats Gainesville.

"Dave’s Deli has been a consistent staple in the Tioga Town Center offering some of the best food that Gainesville has to offer. It's great to see them expand their taste of NYC throughout the Gainesville community in a fresh, new way," said Gainesville Associate Director Jason Hurst.

MidiCi, a Neapolitan Pizza restaurant, famous for its chewy and crisp dough topped with all-natural ingredients, will be opening their first-to-market location in Gainesville. Front Street was pleased to represent MidiCi in securing their location in Celebration Pointe.

“MidiCi Neapolitan Pizza is a really cool concept that basically created a new dining segment: fast fine dining. It combines the ingredients of fast casual with the polished atmosphere of fine dining. You can enjoy the highest quality Neapolitan pizza, fresh signature salads, appetizers, craft beer and a selection of wines in a high energy, social atmosphere. MidiCi will be a great addition to the Gainesville restaurant scene and a perfect fit at Celebration Pointe” said Rick Cain, Director of Gainesville.

Front Street was thrilled to represent Bojangles’ in their first-to-market location in Gainesville. The popular restaurant, known for its southern style chicken and biscuits, opened its first location on April 3 at 3100 SW Archer Road.

Front Street represents Bojangles’ in their search for additional locations throughout Central and North Central Florida.

“It is exciting to see the crowd Bojangles’ draws on opening day, the loyal following is reflective of their commitment to excellent food and customer service. It is a pleasure working with the restaurant group and their developers” said Gavin Johnson, Associate Director.

For nearly 40 years, Bojangles’ has served the South it’s perfectly seasoned chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits, signature Fixin’s and other regional favorites. The Gainesville location is their fifth and newest location in Florida.


Apoké Sushi, a first-to-market restaurant, is coming to West University Avenue in Gainesville. This restaurant serves Hawaiian comfort food, featuring bowls, burritos and salads. The concept currently only has one other location in South Miami. Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group represented both the restaurant and the landlord for this deal.

Apoké is passionate about serving only the freshest "sushi grade" sustainable fish available. Each morning and throughout the day, everything from their seasoned sushi rice to their miso soup is meticulously hand prepared to guarantee freshness that its guests will savor in every bite.

Apoké is one of the flagship concepts for the Poké fusion market that is sweeping the nation. They have developed a loyal following at their University of Miami location and plan to bring those same good vibes and good food items to the Gainesville market,” said Gainesville Associate Director Jason Hurst.  

This restaurant will be opening at 1404 W University Avenue, a premium multi-tenant retail center with direct frontage on University Avenue, adjacent to the University of Florida and The Standard. Sushi Burrito

Jimmy Hula’s, a fast casual, laid back, family friendly restaurant, will be opening their first-to-market location in Gainesville. Front Street was delighted to represent Jimmy Hula’s in securing their location in Butler Plaza North.

“Jimmy Hula’s is a cool beach surf shack atmosphere with roll up doors and relaxed outdoor seating. It should be a great compliment to the area” said Rick Cain, Gainesville Director.

Jimmy Hula's Restaurant is the result of over 50 years of global travel by Jim Hartman, a seasoned veteran in the fast food industry.

Scouting out the best waves, experiences, and food across the planet, Hartman’s personal cooking style evolved to mimic his life: wholesome, healthy, and flavorful! Jimmy Hula’s serves the “Best Fish Tacos, Burgers, and Craft Beer in Florida!” and was first started in Winter Park, Florida, in 2011. The concept has now expanded across Florida with 13 locations.

Front Street was pleased to represent Taziki’s Mediterranean Café in securing their first-to-market location in Butler Plaza North. The restaurant, which features Mediterranean inspired cuisine like gyros, salads and soups, opened in April.

Taziki’s restaurant chain was the first franchise in the U.S. to receive the REAL certification, a mark of excellence which indicates commitment to holistic nutrition and environmental stewardship. The chain was established in Birmingham, Alabama in 1998 and has expanded to 16 states.       

“All of Taziki’s recipes are made fresh and inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. You’ve got to try it!” Said Rick Cain, Gainesville Director.

Front Street is happy to welcome a new concept to the Gainesville area! Acclaimed as the “Rarest of the rare” the new bar concept is set to open in downtown Gainesville at 111 S Main St.White Buffalo. Front Street represented both the bar and the landlord for this deal.

Hurricane BTW Is a hip, fresh food concept geared toward Millennials. It is sure to serve as a mainstay for the University crowd” said Jason Hurst, Gainesville Associate Director.

Hurricane BTW is a casual spin off of Hurricane Grill and Wings and offers a variety of American cuisine, including burgers, tacos and wings. The restaurant’s only current location is in Fort Lauderdale, with more locations coming soon.

Front Street is happy welcome to Hurricane BTW to the Gainesville area. The first-to-market restaurant is set to open soon at 1404 W University Ave, across the street from the University of Florida. Front Street represented both the restaurant and the landlord in this deal.

Nick Robinson, Ocala Director added “It has been a real pleasure to represent Hurricane BTW on their entry into the Gainesville market. They have a home-run location and I’m confident the citizens of Gainesville will truly love this concept.”

Front Street also brokered the deal to bring Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt to Gainesville! The first-to-market store will be located in Butler Plaza North. Front Street was thrilled to represent Menchie’s.

“Menchie’s mission statement says it all:  We Make You Smile.  They obviously deliver on that philosophy as Menchie’s is the most popular frozen yogurt chain in the world and now you can experience it in Gainesville” said Gainesville Director Rick Cain.

Menchie’s first opened in Los Angeles, California, and now has locations across the globe. The frozen yogurt company offers a variety of flavors and toppings and believes in customization of desert. They are now the most popular frozen yogurt brand in the world,

Dunkin' Donuts will be opening a new location in Gainesville with help from Front Street! The new store will be located on W. Newberry Road. Front Street worked with Dunkin' Donuts to secure their newest location.

“This Dunkin' Donuts location is sure to bring a trusted brand that we all love to an area of the market that is underserved with breakfast concepts” said Jason Hurst, Gainesville Associate Director.

Dunkin' Donuts is the world’s leading baked goods and coffee chain and already has seven locations in Gainesville.

Virginia MacKoul

Virginia is a graduate from the University of Florida's College of Design Construction and Planning with a degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment, and a minor in Urban Regional Planning. Virginia joined the Front Street team in 2011, as an intern. Upon graduation, Virginia joined the Front Street team full-time as the Director of Client Services. Ms. MacKoul’s addition furthers Front Street’s continued growth and expansion within Gainesville and other North Central Florida markets. She was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2014 and now manages the firm’s team of interns and oversees all marketing and branding activity. Virginia was born in Boston and moved to Lee County, Florida in 1997. Virginia graduated her high school's International Baccalaureate program and started at the University of Florida with a focus on Architecture. Virginia shares Front Street's passion of giving back to the community and those in need. Virginia's hobbies include photography, cooking, football, movies, music, and spending time with her dog, Brinkley.
