Front Street Named 32nd Fastest-Growing Gator-Owned Business by UF’s Gator100

Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group was recognized as the 32nd fastest growing Gator-owned or Gator-led business in the world at the University of Florida’s 2017 Gator100 during a ceremony on February 10th. Sponsored by the UF Alumni Association, in partnership with the UF Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center, the Gator100 recognizes the 100 fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UF alumni.  Ernst & Young calculated each company’s compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years to generate the ranking.

Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group is a boutique, full service, commercial real estate service firm offering its clients brokerage, leasing, property management and mortgage banking solutions. Front Street is invested in their clients, the community and in the commercial real estate industry. Through their INVESTED program, they give 10% of all brokerage revenue to local, cause-related organizations.

Nick Banks, Front Street’s owner, founder and managing director, is a University of Florida graduate with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, class of 1990. “At Front Street, our mission is simple – we strive to impact our community, clients and industry by doing commercial real estate differently.” Said Nick. He added “We’re honored to be recognized by the University of Florida, and we’re humbled to be included in such a prestigious group of entrepreneurs.”

This is the second time Front Street has been recognized by the Gator100 Awards, having secured the number 10 spot in the first inaugural Gator100 Awards in 2015.

“The Gator100 is a campus-wide initiative that recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit entrenched in the university,” said Timothy Walsh, the Executive Director of the UF Alumni Association and Assistant Vice President of Alumni Affairs. “UF Alumni have created and guided some of the most innovative and profitable businesses in the nation and world. The Gator100 celebrates the very best of our Gator Entrepreneurs.”

To qualify for the Gator100, companies must have been in business for five years or more as of Oct. 1, 2016, and have had verifiable annual revenues of $250,000 or more in 2013. Additionally, a UF alumnus or alumna must have met one of the following three leadership criteria:
