UF & UF Health Secure Spots on Forbes Top 500 Employers List for 2nd Straight Year

The Forbes Top 500 Employers list is conducted every year and measures 500 employers across 25 fields from huge corporations to educational facilities where employees feel happiest at their work place. The Statista program anonymously asks 30,000 employees at companies with more than 5,000 people employed to determine the results. Corporate giants that are regulars on this list such as Marathon Petroleum, Google, and Costco all hold a spot. Two employers that have not only made their employees happy but the whole state of Florida proud are UF Health and The University of Florida. These two Florida staples made the prestigious list for the second straight year, which is a tremendous accomplishment.

The University of Florida and UF health not only made the list but they both moved up from their 2015 mark. UF health cracked the top 100 this year moving up to 89th overall from last year’s 154th mark. This substantial rise moved them up to the 16th overall among all Health Care providers in America, an incredible feat! The University of Florida also was able to crack the top 100 coming in at 90. UF ranked among the top 24 of all educational facilities including K-12 along with coming in as the 13th highest rated public university. These results are truly a great reflection on how both of these organizations are run. Just making this list is a huge accomplishment in itself but being able to say that two local establishments cracked the top 100 is nothing short of amazing. Congratulations to the University of Florida and UF Health, you have made our great state very proud!
