FedEx Provides Opportunity for Ocala Community

On August 4th of this year, FedEx will be having its grand opening for their new facility located in Ocala. FedEx received incentives from the city, including moving utility and power lines for the company.

The city also promised to make road improvements to the site, hoping to bring the large company into town. Now with the grand opening approaching, residents and others are hoping to get in on the set 500 immediate job openings that need to be filled at the facility.
FedEx could have placed business anywhere. However they chose Ocala due to the $2.3 million in incentives and ability to engage with the community. Money should be put back into the city, only furthering its development.

This facility will provide many individuals a chance to start careers and an opportunity to secure a steady paycheck.
