Having the chance to interview the developer of the new Residence Inn in Miami, Ronny Finvarb, who states that an extended stay offers more than what an Airbnb does. When staying at an extended stay hotel, a guest doesn’t have to worry about security with a stranger, quality and reliability.

However at an extended stay, patrons have access to both a kitchen and a large suite that has home-like accommodations as well as an experienced staff that would cater to their needs as a guest. As an extended stay hotel, blank remarked that “a good night rest” is the hotels priority. He says that it is important that the hotel’s location is close enough to activity yet far enough to not distract its guest from privacy.

The immersion of extended stay hotels in more urban areas will create interesting competition among Airbnb.
