Did you see this recent article in the Sun, “UF buffing up Innovation Square to spur development”? It’s a great piece that demonstrates the momentum that we’ve been talking about with our friends and colleagues.

That momentum will work to assist UF in achieving preeminence and it will lift greater Gainesville up, beyond being a college town, to become a premier university city.


"Innovation Square is an important part of UF’s drive to preeminence.  In order to compete with the universe of innovation districts around the country, UF enlisting JLL and Front Street will enable the message of Innovation Square to be spread to the potential users and developers who will find value in creating something at one of the country’s premier research universities." - Lee Nelson, director, Office of Real Estate, University of Florida.


Opportunity is knocking for businesses that can benefit from close proximity to a major research university. Needless to say, we’re excited to be a part of this local project with global reach.
What’s next?

With UF, JLL and Front Street all working together we can’t help but feel like anything is possible. Renovations to 720 at Innovation Square are already underway in the lobby and we’re hard at work with the existing office space, connecting companies with growing opportunity at Innovation Square.

Virginia MacKoul

Virginia is a graduate from the University of Florida's College of Design Construction and Planning with a degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment, and a minor in Urban Regional Planning. Virginia joined the Front Street team in 2011, as an intern. Upon graduation, Virginia joined the Front Street team full-time as the Director of Client Services. Ms. MacKoul’s addition furthers Front Street’s continued growth and expansion within Gainesville and other North Central Florida markets. She was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2014 and now manages the firm’s team of interns and oversees all marketing and branding activity. Virginia was born in Boston and moved to Lee County, Florida in 1997. Virginia graduated her high school's International Baccalaureate program and started at the University of Florida with a focus on Architecture. Virginia shares Front Street's passion of giving back to the community and those in need. Virginia's hobbies include photography, cooking, football, movies, music, and spending time with her dog, Brinkley.
