Another Round - New Craft Brewery to Open in Gainesville

The large white 16,000-square-foot building located at 1001 NW Fourth Street has a new owner and a new purpose! Patrick Burger and Gary Heil are bringing their vision of Rainstorm Brewing Company to life. The two met through mutual friends and church groups, bonding over the love of a good beer. Now the hobby of homebrewing is becoming a business opportunity and giving life to a new building.

The 110-year-old building that was home to an ice plant, has housed the Rainstorm Brewing Company since August 26, 2015. Gainesville has been known to love a craft beer, with the local breweries of Swamp Head and First Magnitude. While most would think that Rainstorm is just another competing business for these existing breweries, Heil says that they have been welcomed. According to Heil, “There is always room for one more craft brewery as long as you are brewing good beer.” They plan to also sell other locals beers at their brewery. The duo plans to introduce their beer to local restaurants and bars in the area.
