The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce marketing delegation made a trip to Boston during the final days of June that included 21 visits to different sites in the city, including company headquarters, expansion projects, and venture capital firms. Boston is well known as a high-tech leader in the startup community and is a great place to foster valuable connections. The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce is hopes to forge ties with these business leaders in an attempt to further grow the local economy.
“Boston is a natural fit. Its on the East Coast, it’s a technology hub, and there are investors who will invest in Gainesville companies,” said Susan Davenport, President of the Chamber. This is just one of the visits that have taken place as the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce helps Gainesville to emerge as a tech startup leader in the Southeast.
