Mixed-use development set to replace Extreme Athletix site in South Tampa

The frenzy of mixed-use developments continues in South Tampa. At the intersection of South Howard and West Morrison avenues, a mixed-use development has gone underway and is set to begin vertical construction. The project will include 13,890 square feet of retail, 6,950 square feet of office space, and 46 residential units. In addition, the development will offer 240 parking spaces. Franklin Street is overseeing the management and leasing of the project.

One of the retail tenants will be a restaurant that offers private seating, only accessible by an elevator. As Franklin Street looks to fill the remaining space, they are searching for daytime-oriented businesses.  The strong demographics and urban structure of South Howard given much reason to believe the project will be a success. As Franklin Street CEO, Andrew Right said, “ I don’t think there’s better real estate in town.”
