IT Firm Pledges to Make a Difference in Ocala

CEO of IT firm, eResources, Dusty Gulleson is taking action to move his tech company from the Washington D.C. area to Ocala, FL. The CEO is confident that the company will deliver on its promise to deliver high paying jobs after its relocation to Ocala. The Ocala Chamber/Economic partnership announced that eResources is a growing company that will have around 50 jobs with an average pay around $51,000. 42 of the current employees are already working in Ocala and there are more on the way. Gulleson believes “50 [jobs] is not a hard number to hit”. The tech company was granted $24,999 from a city small business investment program according to Ocala’s director of city revitalization. The company is moving 8 existing jobs to Ocala and will deliver 5 more jobs over a 3 year span.

The average salary of current employees is $42,138, but after the 5 new employees become part of the company, the average will be boosted up to $52,633. The company will have to maintain in contact with the city for compliance purposes. Gulleson hopes to be hiring level 1 or 2 help desk technicians every 2 months, but a lot of that process depends on the acceleration of the company and its sales.

The company’s purchase of SunDigital, an Ocala based firm, put the wheels in motion for eResources to relocate to Ocala. From a business perspective, Gulleson is thrilled to be based in Florida now, as it is easy to find labor and is also beneficial from an operational and tax standpoint. He believes his company will add value to Ocala, we look forward to welcoming them!
