Walmart Neighborhood Markets Opening in North Central Florida

Walmart will be opening three of its smaller neighborhood market stores in the towns of Trenton, Cross City, and Interlachen within the next few months.  The Interlachen store is set to open next month, while the other two are scheduled to open in late spring or early summer.  Walmart chose these locations due to the strong customer base they already have in those areas.  Each store will be around 12,00 square feet and will employ 30 workers.

Walmart currently operates 600 Neighborhood Markets in the U.S., and expects to open 200 more this year.  These stores have a full range of grocery items, as well as a pharmacy and gas station.  "Our small format stores provide customers with convenience and a broad assortments of fresh foods and everyday household items at great prices," said Amanda Henneberg, Director of Communications for Walmart.
