UF Grad’s Diving Equipment Company Expands

Jarrod Jablonski is the founder and current CEO of Halcyon Manufacturing, a company that originated in High Springs Florida creating diving equipment. Jarrod attended the University of Florida in 1988 and continued his passion for diving in the ocean by diving in the springs around the Gainesville area. While at UF, Jarrod taught diving at Ginnie Springs to help pay for college and he also began his athletic diving career by setting records in cave diving. Upon graduating from college in 1996, Jarrod and Halcyon’s cofounder, Robert Carmichael, decided to pursue their niche for creating dive equipment and began in High Springs. The company has recently moved from their 12,000 square foot space into a 26,000 square foot space in High Springs Industrial Park. Halcyon has products in over 500 dive shops globally and 75 percent of their sales are international. Jarrod’s thoughts on where his company is today, “Thousands of people around the world are using our equipment in a wide range of environments. I feel really fortunate and proud of what everyone’s helped us accomplish.”
