New TownePlace Suites in Gainesville

The new TownePlace Suites, on the corner of Newberry Road and Tower Road, opened on February 17th. Operating as a Marriott franchise, the 96-suite TownePlace Suites is owned by Gainesville Investment Lodging, LLP and managed by 3H Group Hotels of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Located at 7451 West Newberry Road, this is the first location for TownePlace Suites in the Gainesville area. According to Loren Nalewanski, Vice President and global brand manager of TownePlace Suites, this upscale hotel will offer more options with the standard rooms designed for their customers. He believes that the design of the rooms will bring a more residential atmosphere.

The community coffeehouse designed lobby has different seating options for either working alone or networking. A floor-to-ceiling TowneMap in the lobby describes details of local area, such as recreation areas, popular places to eat, shopping centers and other services. In the lobby area, they also have 24-hour coffee service and a pinch market to pick up any last minute items you may need. They also provide breakfast to their guests each morning. For guests who plan to stay longer, the studio and one-bedroom suites could be their best choice. It has fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Each room includes a sofa, large flat screen television, task chair and new bedding. 

In TownePlace Suites, most rooms feature the Home Office TM Suite, aiming to provide the guests with a similar environment as home. Hotel amenities include outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, and meeting space, wireless Internet and laundry facilities. Other business services are available, such as copying, faxing and printing.

Virginia MacKoul

Virginia is a graduate from the University of Florida's College of Design Construction and Planning with a degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment, and a minor in Urban Regional Planning. Virginia joined the Front Street team in 2011, as an intern. Upon graduation, Virginia joined the Front Street team full-time as the Director of Client Services. Ms. MacKoul’s addition furthers Front Street’s continued growth and expansion within Gainesville and other North Central Florida markets. She was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2014 and now manages the firm’s team of interns and oversees all marketing and branding activity. Virginia was born in Boston and moved to Lee County, Florida in 1997. Virginia graduated her high school's International Baccalaureate program and started at the University of Florida with a focus on Architecture. Virginia shares Front Street's passion of giving back to the community and those in need. Virginia's hobbies include photography, cooking, football, movies, music, and spending time with her dog, Brinkley.
