Front Street is pleased to announce our most recent retail transactions. The retail sector in the markets we serve has been extremely active with expansion of existing businesses as well as the addition of several new concepts.  

Bento Café is expanding to new location in Tallahassee! Bento will open at The Hub, a specialty retail center located on West Tennessee Street, in 2015. Described as Pan-Asian cuisine, Bento Café offers a creative mixture of Asian inspired dishes including, sushi, wok stir-fry, and fire-grilled items using the finest Asian spices and the freshest meats. Everything on the menu is cooked to order and prepared in minutes. 

The Sleep Center of Gainesville recently opened a location in Esplanade at Butler Plaza earlier this year. With a continual, sharp focus on providing top quality, large selections, competitive pricing and first class customer service, Sleep Center Superstores are found throughout the southeast. The expansion in Esplanade represents the second Sleep Center location in Gainesville.

Plaza Centro, located in the heart of the Archer Road submarket, added Total Nutrition who will backfill the space formerly occupied by Starbucks. Total Nutrition provides high quality sports nutrition, vitamins and weight loss supplements at an unbeatable competitive value.  Opening is expected by the end of the year. 

The Cripsers Plaza, which is located on SW 34th Street near Archer Road, was recently sold. The newest addition to the Crispers Plaza is Kung Fu Tea, experts in bubble tea, providing customers with high standards for ingredients, atmosphere and customer service. Kung Fu Tea plans to open in September.

Sweat Life Fitness has relocated and expanded to Publix Market Square located in Haile Plantation. Sweat Life is dedicated to creating an environment that promotes health and wellness in all aspects of life. Their state-of-the-art facility provides an intimate and results-driven atmosphere where goals are not just met – they are exceeded.

Maui Grill has joined Newberry Square, a Publix and Kmart-anchored shopping center located on Newberry Road near the Oaks Mall. Established in 1995, Maui Grill specializes in traditional chicken bowls and other fresh entrees. 

Agapanthus Lane has expanded within Tioga Town Center to offer additional product and services to its clientele. Previously known as Ocala Traditions, Agapanthus Lane is a bridal registry and fine gifts store with additional locations in downtown Ocala and near the Country Club of Ocala.

The Funkie Junkie Boutique has joined Haile Village as their newest retailer. The Funkie Junkie Boutique is a small boutique craft seller catering to the paper-crafting and mixed media craft community.

Virginia MacKoul

Virginia is a graduate from the University of Florida's College of Design Construction and Planning with a degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment, and a minor in Urban Regional Planning. Virginia joined the Front Street team in 2011, as an intern. Upon graduation, Virginia joined the Front Street team full-time as the Director of Client Services. Ms. MacKoul’s addition furthers Front Street’s continued growth and expansion within Gainesville and other North Central Florida markets. She was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2014 and now manages the firm’s team of interns and oversees all marketing and branding activity. Virginia was born in Boston and moved to Lee County, Florida in 1997. Virginia graduated her high school's International Baccalaureate program and started at the University of Florida with a focus on Architecture. Virginia shares Front Street's passion of giving back to the community and those in need. Virginia's hobbies include photography, cooking, football, movies, music, and spending time with her dog, Brinkley.
