I had the privilege of representing Front Street at this years RECON in Las Vegas. RECON is ICSC's premiere event hosting over 32,000 brave attendees who are eager to make deals and feel the pulse of the retail market.
I spent the better part of the month preceding RECON preparing for the whirlwind of meetings, networking, and deal making. I spent my days meeting with Front Street's current clients, future clients, and retailers looking to expand their presence in Gainesville. I was fortunate to uncover deals with excellent potential and solidify deals that were already in the works.
The size of the event is only outdone by the pace. RECON, perhaps more than any event of the year, requires you to be on your game. Meetings start early and the many hosted parties end late. The trade floor is more like a pop-up city than an exhibition hall.
While still exhausted from the trip, I am already excited about next year. Each year our network grows and more out of town groups show interest in Gainesville commercial real estate opportunities. I had a great and productive time representing Front Street and Gainesville.
