13th Street Sees Development Growth

A six story apartment building has kicked off the development on the 300 block of Northwest 13th Street. But this isn't the only apartment coming to 13th street. Another developer has plans to build a complex on the west side of 13th street, one which will totally revamp three blocks. Landmark Properties, a Georgia based student-housing developer, would build the six-floor apartment complex. Landmark Properties was chosen to build University Corners that will be located on the northwest corner of 13th Street and University Avenue.

The proposal for the development on the west side of 13th street is in the works. Construction continues for the 13th Street apartment complexes both to the north and south of University Avenue; Social 28 in front of Courtyard apartments, and Lux13 near Hidden Lake Apartments. Along with the new apartments, 13th Street has also seen a new Burlington, and Lucky’s Market grocery store will be opening in the new year, as well as a new UF Health Shands Building. It's really exciting to see so much positive activity and growth in the community!
