If you’re a diehard Google fan but have an Amazon Prime account, you won’t have to lead a conflicted life any longer. Google has rolled out Google Express, a subscription service offering free same or next day shipping on any order over $15. It will cost $10 per month or $95 per year to join.
Google’s selection is made up of inventory from popular brick and mortar retailers such as Costco, Staples and Walgreen’s. Additionally, Google is expanding the service to Washington D.C., Chicago and Boston to supplement its existing services in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles.
Amazon is more of a direct competitor to Google than people may think, as it is the second largest search engine in the world. Google is searching for economies of scale. However, you can rest assured Google will not easily give up one iota of market share, as we can see with Google Express.
