Celebration Pointe is the first transit-oriented development approved by the Alachua County Commission under new policies that push for compact and walkable mixed-use developments linked by bicycle and pedestrian paths and bus transit.
“It’s exciting that all of the challenges have been overcome and that significant projects that will strengthen the shopping and residential opportunities in Gainesville are finally moving forward,” said Nick Banks, Managing Director for Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group.
The approval allows for nearly 900,000 square feet of nonresidential space. The plans also include a bridge over I-75 to connect to the northern expansion of Butler Plaza and 100 acres of conservation land east of Lake Kanapaha.
Celebration Pointe’s first tenants include a 120-room Hotel Indigo, Bass Pro Shops and Info Tech. Front Street is handling the office leasing for Celebration Pointe. There is still office space for lease. Click here for more information and to view this listing.
