Nick Banks, managing director of Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group, was recently appointed to the United Way of North Central Florida's board of directors as well as to the chairmanship of the development committee.

Since its inception, Front Street has contributed 10 percent of all brokerage revenue to the United Way of North Central Florida. Banks, an active resident of Gainesville since 2002, also serves on the leadership council and chairs the Finance Committee for Grace United Methodist Church.

John Roberts, Gainesville office vice president of commercial banking at Community Bank & Trust of Florida, was recently named the recipient of the Dr. C. Arnold Matthews Honor Graduate Award during the 44th Annual Florida Bankers Association Florida School of Banking Ceremony at the University of Florida.

The award was established to recognize a graduating senior who has distinguished himself or herself during the completion of the school's course of study at the Florida School of Banking.


Joel L. McCoy Jr., certified public accountant, announced the relocation of his firm to 7328 W. University Ave., Suite C.


Gainesville-based Advantage Publishing Inc. was recently honored at the Florida Magazine Association 2013 Charlie Awards.

Virginia MacKoul

Virginia is a graduate from the University of Florida's College of Design Construction and Planning with a degree in Sustainability and the Built Environment, and a minor in Urban Regional Planning. Virginia joined the Front Street team in 2011, as an intern. Upon graduation, Virginia joined the Front Street team full-time as the Director of Client Services. Ms. MacKoul’s addition furthers Front Street’s continued growth and expansion within Gainesville and other North Central Florida markets. She was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2014 and now manages the firm’s team of interns and oversees all marketing and branding activity. Virginia was born in Boston and moved to Lee County, Florida in 1997. Virginia graduated her high school's International Baccalaureate program and started at the University of Florida with a focus on Architecture. Virginia shares Front Street's passion of giving back to the community and those in need. Virginia's hobbies include photography, cooking, football, movies, music, and spending time with her dog, Brinkley.
