iG's "What's Next?" Series

Innovation Gainesville, or iG, has been taking great strides in our community to ensure that Gainesville's innovation economy is growing and sustaining that growth. On June 27th, the Front Street team was proud to be a sponsor of iG's Regional Economic Forum where the next steps of economic growth were unveiled.

Amy Holloway, President of Avalanche Consulting, warmed up the crowd with some insight into Alachua County's current strengths and weaknesses. Holloway and her team of national strategists have spent the past six months researching our economy and her findings were both sobering and optimistic. Gainesville, as well as all of Alachua County, has plenty of room for growth and we must take advantage of that.

The morning's keynote speaker was Rebecca Ryan, renowned economist, author and founder of Next Generation Consulting. Ryan inspired the audience to continue growth and innovation in Gainesville. After Ryan's talk, Ryan answered questions from the audience about Gainesville's growth, employment trends, and how to reach the millennial generation. See below for a video of Ryan's entire talk.

Front Street recognizes iG events like the Economic Forum are imperative to keeping the community excited to work towards innovation and economic growth in Gainesville. Thank you to the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and iG for your commitment to making Gainesville reach its full potential!
